Last month, Icon Metal had the pleasure of hosting an insightful workshop tour for year 10 to 12 students from various high schools across Western Sydney.

This initiative, developed with the invaluable support of Jessica Blain from the Regional Industry Education Partnerships (RIEP) program, along with the Australian Steel Institute (ASI) and Weld Australia, aimed to provide students with a closer look into the dynamic world of metalwork.

The tour offered more than just a behind-the-scenes glimpse into our daily operations. Through hands-on tool activities, students gained practical experience, learning essential skills and exploring the diverse career opportunities within the metalwork industry. Their enthusiasm and curiosity were truly inspiring, reinforcing our commitment to nurturing the next generation of industry professionals.

Thank you to everyone involved in making this event a success, especially the students for their enthusiastic participation. At Icon Metal, we are proud to contribute to the future of our industry by sharing our knowledge and passion, and we look forward to continuing to inspire and educate tomorrow’s leaders.
