Last week, we were delighted to represent the steel industry at the Career Advisors Association at their annual conference at Dockside in Darling Harbour, with Ana Rios and Bethan Farmer joining event co-sponsor Australian Steel Institute (ASI).
It was a pleasure to talk to such passionate educators about the career pathways open to young people, from traditional roles in engineering and trade apprenticeships, to growing opportunities in Sustainability, innovation and the decarbonisation of the steel industry. Looking forward to collaborating with some great people on our skills and education program!
Thanks to ASI’s Anne Lobascher for the invitation and a wonderful introductory talk, and the Farmer kids for the steel-themed cupcakes 🧁
